Happy Valentines Day!

I took my kids out today to let them pick out their Valentines Day gifts and boy did we have a great time! While we were out, I told myself that just because I didn't have a significant other did not mean I could not receive a Valentines gift! So, I am now the new owner of the Biggest Loser Power Walk workout DVD as well as a pair of weights. I hope you all have a special Valentines Day. And hey, even if you are single like me, treat yourself to something you want! ♥

  1. Hi Kimberly,

Good for you getting yourself something for Valentines Day! I always do that on my birthday too. I remember well the years as a single mom, my husband married me with 5 children 2-12 years old, he's quite the saint!

I applaud you on your weight loss, what a great feeling to be 15 pounds lighter.
I don't think I would want to live without bread and ice cream, my two weeknesses. I just limit them according to my activity level, and eat ice cream once or twice a week. Probably the most important thing for balancing my weight I have done over the years is to eat as close to nature as I could, fruits, vegetables, dairy(cottage cheese and yogurt) cheese, and protein. I will tend to choose yams over potatoes, and whole wheat over white bread.

The Weston Price foundation talks alot about nutrition, and Jordan Ruben's book The Maker's Diet is one of my favorites.

I didn't see your comment on the sourdough starter until today, so put a comment for you to read a little more.

Thanks for reading my posts, Jewel

  2. Good for you! We really do need to be our own Valentine and love ourself. You deserve the treats. Enjoy your workout and weights. I didn't know they had a walking workout. Cool!!!

  3. Thanks Jewel! And Bex, yep, at walmart for $9. Can't wait to try it out.

  4. Happy Valentine's Day Kimberly!
Hope you have a fantastic week. The small gain is just because of coming off LC.. no worries, but you know that!

    I love Mondays!
I think the DVD sounds perfect. I need to make myself work out but I have not in ages. I am SO lazy!
